Working on height, flying with kites, beachsailing and skating. Over the years, from childhood until being a professional rope access technician, playing with gravity is the common game. After studying Leisure Management at the Rotterdam University the game changed. Organizing beach activities as an event manager was like a game of excluding risks. By guiding unexperienced people in a battle with gravity, wind and other elements of nature, the greatest challenge was to keep them safe. Today, in rope access, the game turned into a profession where safety measures and a backup plan are required to eliminate all possible risks and getting the job done.
